The figures in the center represent a decaying government, hoarding wealth and power.
To the left, military factions plot to gain power by a coup, while the right religious groups attempt to spread their beliefs and influence. And, everywhere, there are those who would deceive, steal and betray for a piece of the illusionary narcotic of power.
In their selfish preoccupations, most are oblivious to the signs on the horizons, warning of what their pursuits could eventually bring – the meaningless destruction of everything they have come to know. For the first time in history, Humanity now has the knowledge and mechanisms to cause its own extinction through its own willful acts.
Let us pray that we are not the final generation, and the only one to have known the total history of Humankind.
